Electrical Controls Specialist

Purpose: As an Electrical Controls Specialist, you will play a crucial role in conceptualizing controls for various industrial systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement control strategies for Material Handling Conveyor Systems, Robotic Integration Systems, Gantry Systems, and Powertrain assembly lines.
  • Select and integrate components including PLCs, VFDs, servo drives, sensors, switchgears, and relays.
  • Familiarity with Fieldbus protocols such as Ethernet TCP/IP, Profibus, Profinet, Serial Communication Schematic Diagrams, and Signal Line Diagrams is essential.
  • You should have a basic understanding of Human Safety devices like light curtains, area scanners, and gate switches.

Leadership and Project Management:

  • Manage a team of 2-4 members to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Lead projects involving conveyors, Robot cells, and SPMs from inception to completion.
  • Review electrical drawings, prepare lists of makes and architectures, and conduct risk analysis.
  • Prepare sign-off documents, functional analysis, and risk assessment reports.
  • Identify and release Critical Bought-out (CBO) components, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Maintain safety standards, adhere to regulations, and promote environmental conservation.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in electrical engineering, with a focus on control systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic, function block, and structured text.
  • Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software and simulation tools.
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies and trends.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
