Electrical Protection and Control Engineer Role

Apply your knowledge of protective relaying and controls systems in substation and transmission projects. As a skilled engineer, you will perform analysis and design of single line diagrams, develop concepts of substation relaying & metering diagrams, and produce protection and control designs for LVAC, LVDC, and UPS equipment associated with LTS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct cable sizing calculations, relay configurations, and associate documentation.
  • Prepare engineering and test specifications for new and existing solutions.
  • Develop high-level cable schedules for substations.
  • Perform factory acceptance tests for protection and control panels.
  • Review work performed by others.
Requirements:
  • 4-6 years of experience in protection/control/communications design for substations.
  • B.E. Electrical or equivalent degree.
  • 8-10 years of experience in the field.
  • Experience in writing and providing support documentation for relay calculations.
  • Knowledge of ANSI standards, with IEC standards being an added advantage.
  • Experience with various vendor protective relay equipment, including SEL, Siemens, and GE.
  • Proficiency in configuration tools for protection relays from different vendors and control systems.
  • Expertise in Ebase and Auto-CAD.
  • Hands-on experience with DIGSI-4 & DIGSI-5, relay configuration tools, and system integrators.
