Cloud Transformation Expert

As a key member of our team, you will be at the forefront of cloud transformation, assisting global companies in leveraging AWS services to run their mission-critical applications. You will work closely with customers and partners on key engagements, developing and delivering proof-of-concept projects, technical workshops, and feature comparisons.

The role requires strong customer-facing skills to represent AWS within the customer's environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management, and risk mitigation. You will collaborate with our customers and partners to design, build, and migrate applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Employing customer-facing skills to represent AWS well within the customer's environment and drive discussions with technical and business teams.
  • Designing, building, and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.
  • Participating in architectural discussions and design exercises to create large-scale solutions built on AWS.
  • Working closely with application teams to ensure business functionality and SLAs are met.
  • Consulting for optimal design of application environments, analyzing complex distributed production deployments, and making recommendations to optimize performance.

Basic qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field with 8 years of experience in Java, J2EE, and 2 years on any Cloud Platform.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, J2EE, REST, SOAP, WebServices, and experience in developing and deploying web applications on application servers like Weblogic, Websphere, Tomcat, JBoss.
  • Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying business software at scale with implementation experience with primary AWS services EC2, ELB, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, Route53, S3.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Implementing experience with primary AWS services EC2, ELB, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, Route53, S3.
  • AWS Solutions Architect Certified.
  • Experience in programming using Python.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
