Lead Project Finance Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Finance Specialist to lead the financing strategy for our solar projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial structuring, project evaluation, and fundraising.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to join our team and contribute to the growth of our renewable energy business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive project financing strategies to support the growth of our solar projects.
  2. Build and evaluate detailed financial models, including IRR, DSCR, payback period, and sensitivity analysis.
  3. Manage debt raising processes, from preparing DPRs and loan applications to negotiations and disbursement.
  4. Coordinate with internal teams, including Business Development, EPC, and Legal, for financial due diligence and risk assessment.
  5. Monitor cash flow, loan compliance, and repayment schedules for ongoing projects.
  6. Identify innovative financing structures, such as leasing, hybrid, or green bonds, to optimize project returns.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills:

  • MBA (Finance) / CA / CFA / equivalent with a strong financial background.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in project finance, preferably in the renewable energy/power/infrastructure sector.
  • Proven track record in debt raising, project financing, and financial closures.
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, credit appraisal, and risk analysis.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
