Functional Consultant Job Description

This role focuses on providing strategic guidance and technical expertise to help businesses optimize their financial management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Map business requirements to Infor LN solutions to deliver tailored functional architecture.
  • Conduct gap analysis, create detailed specifications, develop and execute test cases, and ensure data loading and setup.
  • Collaborate with the business community and technical consultants to lead meetings and drive project progress.
  • Integrate Infor LN using ION tool, leveraging knowledge of BODs, BDEs (extensions), and XML.
  • Develop functional expertise in finance and accounting, including multi-company set-ups, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, costing, travel expenses, payroll, entry advice, and miscellaneous journals.
  • Interface with other ERPs for issues, receipts, adjustments journals, purchase invoices, debit and credit memos.
  • Run trial balances and perform financial period closures.
  • Implement intercompany sales, EDI, and electronic invoicing.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in financial management, with a strong understanding of Infor LN Cloud suite and automotive industries.
  • Knowledge of BaaN IV C4 is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with end-users and business leads.
  • Good technical knowledge of Infor and BaaN components.
