Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the merchandising process from start to finish, serving as a vital link between buyers, suppliers, and production teams. This role demands strong organizational skills, in-depth knowledge of costing, and the ability to deliver products that meet buyer specifications, quality standards, and timelines.

  • Develop seasonal collections with cross-functional teams based on customer requirements.
  • Create samples, negotiate prices, and confirm orders with buyers.
  • Source materials efficiently while working to improve budget and costs.
  • Exceptional attention to detail is required, along with adaptability in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in handling small and high-value businesses.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary for collaboration with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Technical knowledge of woven garment manufacturing, including shirts, jackets, and bottoms, is essential.
  • Leadership and management experience are also required.
  • Demonstrate a high level of ownership and commitment to all job responsibilities for result-driven achievements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Apparel Merchandising, Fashion Technology, or equivalent.
  • 1-8 years of experience as a Merchandiser in a woven garment factory (buyer handling experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of woven fabrics, garment construction, costing, and production processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/MIS systems.
  • Ability to multitask, handle pressure, and meet strict deadlines.
