The lease accounting function requires a collaborative and visible role to ensure complete and accurate financial close, internal, and external reporting, as well as end-to-end lease cycle management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the centralized lease accounting close and reporting process, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and company policies for accurate and timely payment/billing of leases.
  • Support the end-to-end lease accounting process by maintaining proper accounting and documentation of all activity in accordance with U.S. GAAP and in compliance with internal and external audits.
  • Analyze legal documents to determine lease classification in accordance with U.S. GAAP ASC 842.
  • Review lease classification testing in accordance with U.S. GAAP ASC 842.
  • Collaborate with senior staff on a regular basis.
  • Complete month-end close processes including subledger work in CoStar, general ledger entries, and internal and external financial reporting deliverables, including reconciliations, roll forwards, footnotes, and controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate accounting and reporting of lease transactions.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and technical research to support Company decisions.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting, Chartered Accountant certification, and minimum 3-4 years of public accounting or large multinational company accounting experience.
