To achieve this goal, we need a Senior Executive Purchase who can manage procurement activities efficiently. The ideal candidate will identify reliable vendors, negotiate cost-effective purchases, ensure timely availability of raw materials, consumables, and services required for smooth operations, while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

About This Role

This role involves several key responsibilities:

Procurement & Sourcing

The Senior Executive Purchase will be responsible for:

  • Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers/vendors for raw materials, machinery spares, consumables, and services.
  • Obtaining quotations, comparing price, quality, and delivery terms, and finalizing purchase orders.
  • Developing alternate sourcing strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply.
Vendor Management

The Senior Executive Purchase will also be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Conducting vendor performance evaluation based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
  • Negotiating contracts, terms, and payment conditions.
Purchase Operations

The Senior Executive Purchase will ensure:

  • Purchase Orders (POs) are issued in line with company policies and approvals.
  • Timely procurement of materials as per production schedule.
  • Monitoring stock levels and coordinating with the stores/warehouse for replenishment.
Cost Optimization

The Senior Executive Purchase will implement:

  • Cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Benchmarking prices and identifying opportunities for bulk/long-term contracts.
Compliance & Documentation

The Senior Executive Purchase will maintain:

  • Accurate procurement records (POs, invoices, GRNs, contracts).
  • Compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.
  • Coordinating with finance for vendor payments and reconciliations.
Cross-functional Coordination

The Senior Executive Purchase will work closely with:

  • Production, quality, accounts, and logistics teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
  • Resolving material-related issues with suppliers and internal departments.

The ideal candidate should possess strong negotiation and communication skills, knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain operations. Familiarity with ERP systems / MS Office, analytical and problem-solving ability, vendor relationship management, and cost-consciousness with attention to detail are also essential. A Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Supply Chain / Engineering / Management and 2–5 years of experience in procurement/purchase in a manufacturing/industrial setup are required. Knowledge of local and international sourcing is preferred.
