Purchasing Director

The Purchasing Manager oversees the entire procurement process, from sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to managing purchase orders and contracts.

• Leadership & Strategy
  • Lead and manage a team of purchasing professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement global procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and process efficiencies.
  • Establish policies and procedures to standardize and optimize procurement operations.
• Supplier Management & Negotiations
  • Source, evaluate, and develop high-quality suppliers worldwide to ensure reliable supply.
  • Negotiate complex contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with international vendors.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships while managing performance through KPIs and regular reviews.
• Operational Excellence
  • Oversee the creation, approval, and tracking of purchase orders, requisitions, and contracts.
  • Ensure alignment of purchasing activities with organizational goals, inventory requirements, and budget constraints.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with Operations teams to forecast future supply needs.
• Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations (import/export laws, customs, tariffs).
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and audit-ready documentation.
  • Prepare and present strategic purchasing reports and market insights to executive management.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management, 7+ years of progressive procurement experience, and at least 3 years in a managerial role. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and negotiation skills, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.
