Procurement Specialist Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing sourcing value within Procurement COE for various business categories. This includes identifying and managing relationships with key internal stakeholders, executing the sourcing process, and supporting clients on related governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and manage the sourcing process for high volume low risk engagements, focusing on prompt turnaround.
- Lead clients through the sourcing process, including contract negotiations and execution, risk and governance support, and approvals.
- Assess, define, and resolve procurement issues, including contractual terms and conditions and escalations by internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Apply project management concepts to planning and executing the sourcing process.
- Evaluate all related governance processes/policies to ensure compliance prior to final approval.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant sourcing/procurement experience.
- Proven expertise leading sourcing initiatives, developing strategies, and driving results.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Comfort with ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Familiarity with vendor contract language, SAP Ariba Contracts, and Sourcing Modules.
- Understanding of general procurement challenges and solutions.
Preferred Skills:
We also welcome candidates with:
- Financial Analysis skills and advanced Excel skills.
- Negotiation skills and ability to work with internal legal counsel.
- Experience creating project plans, managing to plans, communicating effectively, and engaging necessary stakeholders.
