Job Role:

Business Expansion Specialist

The purpose of this role is to drive business growth in specific industry verticals through strategic development activities, cross-selling, and managing customer relationships to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate a comprehensive sales strategy for assigned verticals by identifying potential clients, highlighting customer requirements, and forecasting market trends.
  • Monitor sales targets at the territory level and implement corrective action as necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to sales performance standards.
  • Identify business opportunities from multiple channels and develop pursuit plans.
  • Negotiate terms with clients regarding product specifications, payment terms, and timelines.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships to facilitate understanding of their needs and resolve queries efficiently.
  • Identify integrated solution opportunities involving motors/automation products systems.
  • Document customer specifications and forward them to concerned departments.
  • Liaise with operations teams to ensure order execution according to predefined timelines and criteria.
  • Communicate changes in order specifications to concerned departments.
  • Collections from clients as per contractual agreements.
  • Ensure timely dispatch of goods to client sites as per delivery schedules.
  • Adhere to policies/processes to enhance response quality and minimize response time to customer queries.
  • Establish service centers or identify partner agencies for after-sales services.
  • Provide technical support on after-sales issues.
  • Record and resolve customer complaints within predefined timelines.
  • Log customer interaction activities in appropriate systems.
  • Respond promptly to customer queries/issues during finalization/execution/post-execution sales.
  • Liaise with distributors/dealers and escalate significant issues to superiors.
  • Manage dealer-related activities such as stock booking, invoicing, and payments.
  • Keep abreast of territory developments and provide data to marketing teams on potential expansion/diversification opportunities.
