Job Overview

As a Junior Industrial Designer, you will play a key role in supporting the Senior Industrial Designer and engineering team across multiple concurrent projects from early concept to production handoff.

  • Produce clear 2D outputs that communicate ideas and intent.
  • Build accurate 3D CAD models for iteration, visualization, DFM/DFA reviews, and pre-tooling alignment.
  • Collaborate with global teams across time zones; join vendor calls and support factory communications when needed.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial/Product Design (or equivalent proven experience).
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D design tools, including AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, KeyShot, and Blender.
  • Strong drafting fundamentals, including dimensioning standards, tolerances, and basic tolerance stack-ups.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating production-ready technical drawings with correct dimensions, tolerances, GD&T callouts, exploded views, and BOM references.
  • Generating high-quality renderings and simple animations for internal reviews and client presentations.
  • Preparing files and documentation for suppliers; track revisions and maintain tidy version control.
  • Contribute to DFM/DFA and QC reviews to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D design tools.
  • Excellent drafting fundamentals and drawing skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
