Strategic Product Development Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a Strategic Product Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our product planning department, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and optimizing our product lines to achieve significant cost savings.
Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough evaluations of our products, processes, and assembly hierarchies to identify opportunities for improvement. You will work closely with design teams to provide critical inputs on design for assembly/manufacturing needs in early planning phases.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting product studies and defining assembly processes that prioritize quality, safety, delivery, and ergonomics
- Associating part, tool, and quality attributes with process definitions
- Preliminary line balance/TAKT time/cycle time planning using MTM or MOST standards
- Designing small jigs and fixtures as needed
- Suggesting enhancements/improvements by comparing with earlier product lines
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need a technical background in assembly planning and digital validation, along with excellent problem-solving skills. Experience with DELMIA V5/Process Simulate/Vismockup/Team center visualization/Human Jack is highly desirable.
A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering is preferred, and experience in manufacturing engineering and the automotive industry is highly valued.
