Job Title: Commi & Chef de Partie or Sous Chef">

As a skilled culinary professional, you will be responsible for preparing food by chopping vegetables, peeling potatoes, cutting meat or fish. Your attention to detail and ability to measure and weigh ingredients accurately are crucial in creating delicious dishes.

  • Assist in making sauces, soups, and other dishes.
  • Clean, maintain and organize the kitchen area to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Wash and sanitize work surfaces, equipment, and utensils to prevent contamination.
  • Properly store leftover food and label it to ensure quality and safety.
  • Assist by following instructions from the chef de partie or sous chef to achieve seamless kitchen operations.
  • Support different kitchen sections as needed (e.g., pastry, grill, salad) to expand your skill set.
  • Learn and practice new cooking techniques and recipes to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Help with receiving and checking deliveries to ensure timely receipt of supplies.
  • Store supplies in the correct areas to optimize inventory management.
  • Inform senior chefs about low stock levels to prevent stockouts.
  • Follow hygiene and food safety regulations to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Wear proper kitchen uniform and personal protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Report any hazards or kitchen issues to the relevant authorities.
Requirements:

A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts or Catering Technology is highly desirable. Additionally, 2 to 5 years experience in Continental Cuisines is essential. Training will be provided for eligible candidates.
