Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

Ensure a safe working environment by implementing and enforcing safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and environmental standards on solar panel installation and maintenance sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Site Safety Compliance: Monitor adherence to safety protocols, PPE usage, and regulatory standards during solar panel installation and maintenance.
  • Environmental Oversight: Ensure compliance with environmental laws regarding waste disposal, emissions, and water usage on solar sites.
  • Risk Assessments & Audits: Conduct regular inspections, hazard identification, and safety audits. Recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Training & Toolbox Talks: Organize daily pre-job briefings, safety inductions, and awareness programs for workers and subcontractors.
  • Incident Management: Investigate accidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills for fire, electrical hazards, and medical emergencies.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and safety equipment. Submit reports to project managers and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Valid certifications: NEBOSH, OSHA, Fire Safety, First Aid.
  • 4–7 years of experience in solar, construction, or energy sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and CAPA (Corrective Action Plans).
