Hygiene Supervisor/assistant Manager

Lead a team of professionals in maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

About this role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our hospitality team as a Hygiene Supervisor. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained at all times.

You will work closely with our production, housekeeping, and engineering teams to implement effective food safety management systems and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist in implementing and maintaining a food safety management system
  2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement
  3. Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
  4. Maintain good communication with colleagues and stakeholders
  5. SUPERVISE daily activities and address any malpractices or deviations from established procedures
  6. Knowledgeable of fire control and safety procedures
  7. Ensure garbage room hygiene meets standards and methods are approved
  8. Organize and assist the Finance team with monthly inventory
  9. Mentor kitchen and food/beverage team members on food safety standards
  10. Conduct HACCP and HFSMS meetings and follow up on actions
  11. Attend designated meetings and interact with external callers and visitors
  12. Drive Continuous Improvement Programme with a dedicated team focused on HACCP accreditation
  13. Streamline training requirements for HFSMS and HACCP team members
  14. SUPERVISE hygiene procedures, monitor logbooks, hot and cold service holding units to ensure proper food turnover and cleanliness
  15. Implement corrective actions when food does not comply with HACCP standards
  16. Educate team members on FIFO and date labelling systems
  17. Maintain positive working relationships with other departments and employees to ensure full co-operation and commitment
  18. Perform other duties related to operations to maintain food safety management systems
What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hygiene Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in industrial hygiene
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification
  • Excellent command of English, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment
