  • Evaluate the techno-commercial feasibility of proposed interventions and explore relevant financing sources.">
  • Support the preparation of funding proposals for climate adaptation initiatives, targeting international mechanisms like GCF and GEF.">
  • Foster inclusive stakeholder consultations, engaging government agencies, civil society, youth, women, and vulnerable groups.">
  • Ensure adaptation strategies are aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and national development plans.">
  • Contribute to the design of Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) systems in line with Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF) requirements.">

Required Qualifications:

  • Possess an advanced degree in climate science, environmental studies, sustainable development, natural resource management, or a related discipline.">
  • Hold at least 5 years of experience in climate adaptation, resilience planning, or related fields.">
  • Demonstrate involvement in developing or updating NDCs, LT-LEDS, or NAPs, particularly in developing country contexts.">
  • Be proficient in conducting CVRAs and translating findings into actionable strategies.">
  • Have experience working with climate models and interpreting risk projections.">
  • Exhibit strong grasp of techno-commercial analysis, cost estimation, and financing pathways.">
  • Be familiar with climate finance mechanisms such as GCF, GEF, and bilateral donor programs.">
  • Display effective communication, analytical thinking, and facilitation skills.">
  • Exposure to UNFCCC reporting processes (BUR, TNC, BTR) is an advantage.">
