Visual Designer Opportunity

Meraki Digital is a pioneering digital marketing agency working at the intersection of communications and sustainability.

We're looking for a creative and environmentally-conscious Visual Designer to join our team of 'Climate Introverts' – sustainability activists who drive change behind the scenes.

You'll create visually compelling designs that not only look good but do good, working across a range of sustainable brands in recycling, composting, vegan products, water conservation, carbon reduction, and ethical fashion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conceptualize and create original, purpose-driven designs for sustainable brands across digital and print media
  • Craft visual stories that authentically communicate environmental and social impact
  • Design social media content, infographics, branding elements, website graphics, and campaign materials that inspire climate-positive action
  • Create illustrations, moodboards, and visual assets that align with our climate-forward ethos
  • Transform complex sustainability concepts into accessible, engaging visuals

As an experienced Visual Designer, you'll stay current with sustainable design trends and eco-friendly production methods. You may also contribute to developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for responsibly integrating AI tools into our design workflow.

Requirements:
  • Mandatory: 2+ years of experience in visual design with a portfolio showcasing creativity and technical skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design tools
  • Experience with both digital and print design formats
  • A keen eye for typography, color theory, composition, and visual storytelling
  • Understanding of sustainable design principles and eco-friendly approaches
  • Enthusiasm for climate action and social impact
