Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to upgrade, migrate, and maintain mission-critical databases on AWS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute database upgrades, including migration from legacy versions to SQL Server 2022.
  • Design, configure, and manage Always On Availability Groups in production environments.
  • Plan and implement database migrations to AWS (RDS, EC2, or other services) with minimal downtime.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance.
  • Perform regular backups, restores, and disaster recovery testing.
  • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure database reliability and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including runbooks and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator in enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience upgrading SQL Server to 2022 in production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Always On Availability Groups and other high availability solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS database migration.
  • Proficiency in T-SQL development, performance tuning, and query optimization.
  • Solid understanding of backup/recovery strategies and database security.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell or automation tools for database administration is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
