Technical Commissioning Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Commissioning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our commissioning team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient installation of Energy Storage systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Techincal Support: Provide technical support during mechanical and electrical tasks throughout the commissioning phase of Energy Storage Projects.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between clients on-site, including liaising with subcontractors when necessary.
  • Schedule Implementation: Collaborate with various professionals to implement a detailed commissioning schedule, working closely with overseas colleagues from Trina Storage.
  • Daily and Weekly Reports: Generate daily and weekly reports, monitoring and addressing any deviations from the planned schedule.
  • Follow-up Meetings: Engage in follow-up meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, coordinating with professionals from diverse disciplines.
  • Installation Oversight: Oversee the installation of Energy Storage structures to ensure compliance with standards set by Trina Storage.
  • Maintenance Activities: Participate in preventive and reactive maintenance activities for Energy Storage infrastructure.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Experience and Skills: Possess 2-3 years of experience as an Energy Storage Service Engineer with hands-on site experience.
  2. Commissioning and Testing: Handle commissioning, pre and post-commissioning tests, and performance test verification.
  3. Spare Parts Management: Manage spare parts inventory, including maintaining records, documenting transactions, and updating inventory. Notify the service manager in advance about spare part needs and estimated quantities based on failure rates.
  4. Tool Safety: Ensure the safekeeping of tools.
  5. Task Assignment: Oversee and assign tasks to third-party service partner technicians, ensuring all work is documented and reported to higher management.
  6. Customer Support: Provide customer support through various channels such as phone and email, frequently interacting with customers both on-site and remotely.

Requirements:

  • Electrical or Electronics Background: Electrical or Electronics Engineer (or equivalent).
  • Technical Experience: Minimum of 2 years of technical experience in electrical projects (substations, power lines, or LV/MV cables). Experience with Energy Storage infrastructure (BESS) is advantageous.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Independence: Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • BESS Knowledge: Strong understanding of BESS PCS and all related supporting and subcomponents.
  • Maintenance Expertise: Solid experience in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
