**Storage and Backup Specialist - Cohesity**

Department: IT Infrastructure / Cloud & Server Operations

Location: Pune

Experience Level: 4-5 years

Reports To: SDM

**Job Type**: Full-Time | Offshore

**Role Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot **Cohesity backup and recovery systems**across multiple environments (on-prem, hybrid, cloud).
- Design, implement, and manage data protection and disaster recovery strategies using Cohesity.
- Perform daily health checks, backup status verification, and remediation for failed jobs.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand storage/backup requirements and ensure SLAs are met.
- Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and proactively implement improvements.
- Manage backup policies, schedules, and retention policies in Cohesity.
- Provide support during audits and compliance assessments related to backup and storage.
- Participate in the planning and execution of upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.
- Document standard operating procedures, architecture diagrams, and technical configurations.Provide 24x7 on-call support as part of a rotation schedule.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in enterprise storage and backup administration.
- **2+ years of hands-on experience with Cohesity**DataProtect and/or Helios.
- Strong knowledge of **backup technologies**, deduplication, snapshots, and replication.
- Experience in **cloud integration with AWS, Azure, or GCP**using Cohesity.
- Solid understanding of **VMware**, Windows, and Linux environments.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell or Python for automation.Knowledge of ITIL processes and change management best practices.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Cohesity Certified Professional or equivalent certification.
- Experience with other backup tools like Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, or Veeam.Familiarity with storage systems like NetApp, Dell EMC, or Pure Storage.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

**Work Environment**:

- Offshore
- May require evening/weekend work during maintenance windows or outages.
