About the Role

  • We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead the launch of our flagship Indian studio, shaping its culture, strategy, and growth from inception.
Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for establishing and leading our Mumbai office, working closely with our Europe-based leadership team to develop and implement a business plan focused on expansion in the Indian market. Key responsibilities include:

  • Inspiring and promoting our company culture across the office.
  • Identifying new business opportunities to support revenue objectives.
  • Managing key accounts and developing a sustained track record of securing new clients and opportunities.
  • Leading, developing, and mentoring team members to achieve their professional goals.
  • Oversight and responsibility for architectural projects at all work stages to ensure desired results within our quality management system.
  • Coordinating workflow between the Mumbai office and other global offices on joint projects.
  • Contribution to the business through consistent profits on sustainable fee turnover for projects under direction.

This role requires a combination of design excellence, operational management, and business development skills to ensure the success of our India practice, while collaborating closely with our international leadership.

Requirements

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • A degree in architecture and built environment.
  • Postgraduate qualification or Masters in Architecture highly desirable.
  • Indian registered architect with relevant certifications.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in architecture, with at least a decade in studio/office leadership roles.
  • Strong portfolio of large-scale commercial, workplace, retail, hospitality, logistics, or mixed-use projects.
  • Data Center project experience will be a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow a studio/business unit (P&L responsibility, team leadership, resourcing).
  • Excellent client relationship, business development, and communication skills.
