Job Title: IPv6 Network Architect

  • We are seeking a highly skilled IPv6 Network Architect to design, plan, and implement next-generation networks.
  • The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IPv6 protocols and features, including addressing, DHCPv6, Neighbor Discovery, and ICMPv6.
  • They will also have expertise in IPv6 routing protocols such as OSPFv3, BGP, and EIGRP for IPv6, as well as familiarity with IPv6 transition mechanisms.
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for leading IPv6 pilot deployments and overseeing full-scale rollouts across LAN, WAN, data center, and cloud networks.
  • Key responsibilities include designing and implementing IPv6 network deployment plans aligned with organizational goals, creating detailed network design documentation and deployment guides, and assessing existing IPv4 infrastructure readiness for IPv6 migration.
  • The role requires strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including network operations, security, and application teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • Proven hands-on experience in IPv6 network design, planning, and deployment.
  • Deep understanding of IPv6 protocols and features (addressing, DHCPv6, Neighbor Discovery, ICMPv6).
  • Expertise in IPv6 routing protocols: OSPFv3, BGP, and EIGRP for IPv6.
  • Familiarity with IPv6 transition mechanisms: dual-stack, 6rd, ISATAP, NAT64, and tunneling methods.
  • Experience with network infrastructure hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Huawei).
  • Knowledge of network security considerations in IPv6 environments.
  • Strong documentation and project management skills.
  • Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE/JNCIS/JNCIE with IPv6 focus preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
