Release Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing software releases.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute software releases to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to develop and execute test plans.
  • Work closely with quant and analytics teams to understand requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure their needs are met.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with software releases.
  • Continuously monitor and improve release management processes.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, finance, or a related field.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in release management, QA, or a related field.
  3. Good understanding of derivative products, including options, futures, swaps, and other financial instruments.
  4. Familiarity with equity pricing models, such as Black-Scholes, Binomial, and Monte Carlo simulations.
  5. Experience working with quant and analytics platforms.
  6. Experience with release management tools, such as Jenkins, Git, and JIRA.
  7. Good knowledge of updating Jiras/Epics.
  8. Good understanding of SDLC, Change Management processes.
  9. Good understanding of Materiality (Funded project) / Non-Materiality (BAU) releases.
  10. Good knowledge of creating change requests via ITSM.
  11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  12. Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications in release management, QA, or a related field.
  • Programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Experience working with cloud-based platforms.
