Release Engineering Manager

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex release workflows and ensuring timely and effective delivery of high-quality releases.

We are seeking an experienced Release Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and managing change control processes, ensuring that all changes meet criteria prior to deployment, and assuming ownership and continuous improvement of the release process.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform release workflows and detailed steps to ensure on-time and effective delivery of high-quality releases.
  • Create and maintain a process for documenting releases, bug-fixes, etc., for mixed audiences (stakeholders technical team).
  • Communicate and plan for high-risk deployments, including ensuring support teams are ready to handle any issues.
  • Define and manage change control processes for development and release readiness criteria and ensure all changes meet criteria prior to deployment.
  • Assume ownership and continuous improvement of the release process by documenting release issues and developing plans to improve process or automation.
  • Ensure SFDC scheduled updates are considered when deployment schedules are planned.
  • Review SFDC release notes to understand new features and communicate release progress/status to stakeholders.
  • Manage environment restoration processes to keep all environments healthy, in sync, and populated with environment-specific data.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in release engineering and management.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using version control systems and continuous integration tools.
  • Experience with SFDC release management and deployment.
