School Counsellor Role

Our organisation seeks a compassionate and experienced counsellor to provide emotional, social and behavioural support to students in a boarding environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering one-on-one counselling sessions and group guidance programmes to ensure a safe and nurturing residential environment.

  • Emotional Support: Offer individualised counselling services and group workshops to address student concerns and promote well-being.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with hostel staff and academic teams to address student issues promptly and effectively.
  • Programmes: Organise and deliver life skills workshops, wellness programmes and awareness sessions on topics such as stress management, interpersonal relationships and mental health.
  • Crisis Response: Identify and respond to crisis situations involving students, offering immediate intervention and follow-up support.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling or Social Work (preferred specialisation in School or Child Psychology).
  • Prior experience as a School or Residential Counsellor in a boarding school environment is an added advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of empathy and patience.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and uphold confidentiality at all times.
