Project Governance Specialist

Deliver strategic project governance and support commercial aspects of project delivery for major infrastructure projects in aviation, highway, rail, energy, and water sectors. Ensure alignment with strategic objectives by collaborating closely with technical delivery teams, clients, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Controls: Lead project planning, controls, and reporting in line with BMS and PMO frameworks to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure project compliance with governance standards and contractual obligations to maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Reporting and Communication: Maintain project reporting calendars, coordinate periodic reviews, and develop and maintain project finance dashboards and EAC forecasts to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Team Utilisation and Resource Planning: Track team utilisation and support resource planning across multiple projects to ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Manage onboarding/offboarding processes and maintain compliance matrices to ensure a smooth transition of personnel.
  • Client Communications: Act as a focal point for client communications and issue resolution to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Design Deliverables: Support project managers and technical leads in delivering design deliverables to meet project requirements.
  • PMO Initiatives: Participate in PMO Steering Group initiatives and strategy refinement to contribute to the development of best practices.
  • Risk Management: Maintain risk registers and implement mitigation strategies to minimize potential risks.
  • Change Control: Oversee change control processes and associated financials to ensure accurate cost tracking.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote continuous improvement in project delivery and PMO operations to drive excellence.
  • Contract Scope: Review and advise on the contract scope and discuss with project delivery team to ensure clarity.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience in project management and governance, preferably in the infrastructure sector.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
  • Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is an asset.
