Senior Technical Operations Manager

The primary responsibility is to oversee the smooth operation of technical services ensuring timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery to clients. This involves strategic planning, allocating resources, coordinating with internal teams, and collaborating with global counterparts for seamless execution of machine installations, commissioning, and post-sales support.

Key Areas of Focus:
  • Optimizing Service Engineer productivity and resource allocation.
  • Maintaining revenue growth through effective technical service interventions.
  • Ensuring timely completion of installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Fostering quality and timeliness in reports submitted to management.
  • Enhancing customer satisfaction by resolving complex technical queries.
Responsibilities:
  • Leading a team of Service Engineers based on customer priorities and technical requirements.
  • Forecasting and planning man-days required for upcoming installations and service interventions in collaboration with global partners.
  • Monitoring and optimizing technician deployment and engagement across the year.
  • Driving profitability and efficiency within the Technical Services department.
  • Providing escalated-level support for customer technical inquiries.
  • Overseeing the setup and operations of the Technical Helpdesk.
  • Maintaining detailed records on Technician deployment, engagement, installation, and commissioning status.
  • Ticket resolution and closure rates.
  • Fostering knowledge sharing and training within the service team for continuous upskilling.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial machine installation, troubleshooting, and after-sales service, with at least 3-4 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Technical expertise in machine commissioning, PLC systems, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with CRM/helpdesk platforms for ticket management.
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and reporting abilities.
  • Ability to handle complex customer inquiries and escalations.
  • Effective communication and liaison skills with global partners.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Goal-oriented mindset.
  • Willingsness to travel.
