Corporate Legal Professional Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Corporate Legal Manager to oversee the drafting, reviewing and finalizing of legal deeds, documents, agreements, MoUs and contracts related to financial and banking transactions, capital raise, borrowings, investments, IT & Cyber Security, and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, agreements and MoUs
  • Providing legal support to cross-functional teams, including business, operations, finance, risk, compliance, HR, IT and secretarial
  • Liaising with external legal counsels, statutory auditors and regulators
  • Attending litigation matters and coordinating with advocates, drafting and reviewing documents for legal proceedings
  • Advising internal stakeholders on corporate legal matters and risk mitigation
  • Maintaining and updating litigation databases, legal contracts, agreements and related documents
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in handling legal matters with a scheduled commercial bank or RBI Registered NBFC
  • Exposure to drafting agreements relating to financial transactions, capital raise, borrowings, due diligence, stressed assets, IT & Cyber Security, vendor management and related regulatory matters
  • Engagement with law firms on litigation, arbitration, negotiated settlements and other related court proceedings
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams, eye for detail, multi-tasking under deadlines, analytical skills, negotiation skills and proficiency in MS Office
