Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess 3-7 years of experience in payroll processing and hold a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, HR, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll processing for employees includes monthly, quarterly, and annually payments.
  • Manage salary inputs, deductions, bonuses, leaves, and attendance data accurately.
  • Handle statutory compliance including PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Income Tax (TDS), and other applicable laws.
  • Prepare and validate salary sheets ensuring error-free disbursement.
  • Coordinate with Finance for timely salary transfer and variable calculation inputs.
  • Address payroll-related employee queries promptly.
  • Manage the creation and transmission of data and reports sent to JIO from HR payroll side.
  • Take ownership of Performance Management System - goal setting, mid-year reviews, and final evaluations.
  • Maintain and design variable pay and appraisal templates for different departments.
  • Perform accurate variable pay and increment calculations based on performance ratings and company policies.
  • Update employee compensation data and maintain records.
  • Reconcile payroll reports, bank statements, and audit requirements accurately.
  • Generate reports and dashboards for internal and external audits.
Required Skills:
  • Advanced Excel proficiency is essential – strong in formulas, pivot tables, conditional formatting, data validation, and logical structuring.
  • Apply analytical and logical thinking for payroll data management and error resolution.
  • Have a deep understanding of payroll processes and statutory compliance.
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Knowledge of payroll software (e.g., GreytHR, ADP, SAP, Keka, etc.) is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills are required.
