Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Merchandise Specialist to join our team. As a key point of contact between buyers and internal teams, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), and familiarity with ERP/MIS systems is also required.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Buyer Liaison: Develop strong relationships with buyers, understanding their requirements and ensuring timely approvals.
  • Sample Development: Create high-quality samples that meet buyer expectations.
  • Production Coordination: Manage Time and Action (TNA) calendars for each order, ensuring timely procurement of trims and fabrics.
  • Quality Control: Monitor order status, production progress, and delivery timelines to avoid delays.
  • Costing and Negotiation: Prepare costing sheets and negotiate prices with buyers and suppliers.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with buyers regarding order updates, changes, and queries.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to stay updated on trends, pricing, and buyer expectations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), and familiarity with ERP/MIS systems.
