Job Overview

This role involves overseeing the audit process for gold loans, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular audits at branch level focused on gold loan operations to verify adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to RBI regulations, KYC/AML norms, and internal compliance policies related to gold appraisal, vault management, disbursement, interest collection, and closure.
  • Perform surprise audits, gold purity validation, and physical safety checks of gold stock and storage infrastructure to identify procedural lapses and risks of fraud or non-compliance.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to mitigate identified risks and ensure timely corrective action.
  • Prepare and present detailed audit reports highlighting risks, observations, and corrective action plans to stakeholders.
  • Maintain follow-up reports on implementation status to ensure closure of audit observations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Risk, Operations, and Compliance departments, to strengthen internal controls and improve overall operational efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Qualification: Graduate (preferably in Commerce), CA Inter, or MBA in Finance with a strong focus on financial auditing.
  • Experience: Minimum 4–6 years in gold loan audit/operations with a bank, NBFC, or gold finance company, demonstrating expertise in gold loan practices and regulatory frameworks.
  • In-depth knowledge of gold purity assessment, vault security norms, and regulatory frameworks governing gold loans and financial audits.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel, audit tools, and documentation/reporting systems to streamline audit processes and enhance productivity.
  • Ability to travel extensively within Odisha for field audits.
