Job Overview

We are seeking an innovative and results-driven Packaging Design Manager to lead our packaging design and development efforts.

  • Packaging Design & Development for new & existing products (Domestic & International)

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Design & Development, Artwork Development, Transit Trials, Packaging Specification development, Stability studies, Prototype approval, Line trials, Cost negation, Packaging material delivery & Implementation
  2. Financial delivery in cost savings for packaging materials through strategic buying initiatives

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in packaging design and development, with experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving business growth. They will be responsible for developing and implementing effective packaging solutions that meet our business objectives.

Responsibilities

1. Packaging Design & Development:

Develop innovative and effective packaging designs for new and existing products, considering factors such as brand image, product features, and regulatory requirements.

2. Project Management:

Lead project teams to deliver packaging projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

3. Business Analysis:

Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform packaging design decisions and drive business growth.

4. Innovation:

Identify opportunities for innovation in packaging design, material, and process, and develop proposals for implementation.

5. Vendor Management:

Select, manage, and evaluate vendors for packaging materials and services, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and sustainability standards.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field (e.g., packaging engineering, design, or marketing).
  • At least 5 years of experience in packaging design and development, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of packaging regulations, laws, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
