Job Title: PCB Design Specialist

This role is ideal for individuals with experience in both software development and design.

  • Develop and maintain high-quality PCB CAD libraries, including schematic symbols, footprints, and parametric data.
  • Create accurate and reliable footprints for SMD, THT, connectors, and complex IC packages according to industry standards.
  • Validate BOMs, electrical attributes, package information, and component descriptions to ensure accuracy.
  • Process new part requests using PLM systems and maintain library updates to reflect the latest designs.
  • Cross-check datasheets, schematics, and footprints to guarantee consistency in pin sequencing and package details.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure manufacturability and compliance.
  • Maintain documentation and adhere to standard naming conventions to facilitate smooth integration with ECAD/MCAD tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop PCB CAD libraries and content.
  • Create accurate and reliable electronic components.
  • Validate and manage library updates.
  • Ensure accuracy in design documentation and specifications.

Required Skills & Tools:

  • CAD Tools: Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, Mentor Graphics Expedition, OrCAD/Capture CIS.
  • PLM Systems: Windchill, Target PLM, Teamcenter, Cockpit Server.
  • Standards & Compliance: IPC-7351, RoHS, REACH.
  • Library Management: Creation and maintenance of schematic symbols, footprints, and 3D models, BOM validation and part numbering systems, use of footprint calculators like LP Wizard and Footprint Expert.
