Market Manager

The primary role of the Market Manager is to develop and maintain a high-quality portfolio of hotel and property products for Expedia's global customer base. This involves working closely with property partners to maximize their participation in the Expedia marketplace.

This position forms the core of the Market Management team, ensuring that Expedia Group's global customers find suitable hotels and that our partners effectively reach Expedia Group's traveler demand.

The successful candidate will consistently use data from Expedient, demonstrating local market knowledge, and providing relevant insights and consulting services to hotel partners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing strong partner relationships through data-driven consulting and revenue management advice
  • Building the portfolio of local hotel partners by introducing prospective partners and facilitating onboarding
  • Ensuring partner hotels' products are optimized on Expedia sites to maximize customer conversion
  • Sourcing additional lodging rates and availability information for peak periods
  • Securing seasonal deals and promotions within management guidelines to support merchandising efforts
  • Promoting hotel partners' engagement with Expedia's tools, including unique market insights, revenue management tools, marketing opportunities, and specialized brands
  • Representing Expedia in the local market and building the company profile with key influencers
  • Providing coaching to colleagues on standard methodologies

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 4-6 years' experience in account management or B2B sales
  • 20-30% travel for market visits

The ideal candidate should possess a high-impact personality, entrepreneurship, and relationship-building skills. They should be hungry, determined, motivated, and results-focused, with excellent organization and time management skills. The salary for this role is approximately $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
