Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned accounting professional to oversee general accounting operations, controlling and verifying financial transactions. This position involves reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining a general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures.

A successful candidate combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.

The ideal candidate also has experience collaborating and/or managing a team of bookkeepers.

Key Responsibilities:

● Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts

● Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results

● Analyze financial information and summarize financial status

● Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending

● Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures

● Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers

● Prepare financial statements

● Assist with tax audits and tax returns

● Plan, assign, and review staff's work

● Support month-end and year-end close process

● Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls

● Ensure compliance with US GAAP principles

Delivery management:

● Proven experience as an accountant

● Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures

● In-depth understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (USGAAP)

● Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process

● Hands-on experience with accounting software packages

● Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables

Skills and Qualifications:

● Degree in Accounting or Finance

● Relevant certification will be preferred

● General computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, etc.)

● Strong communication and presentation skills

● Must be able to demonstrate multitasking capacity

● Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
