Accountant Role

The Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing the general ledger, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing tax returns, and providing support for audits. The individual in this position will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, manage the general ledger, and perform account reconciliations.
  • Budget and Forecasting: Assist with budget preparation and financial analysis.
  • Accounting Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations, tax return preparation, and audit support.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Financial Acumen: Financial reporting, general ledger management, and account reconciliation skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Experience in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of Accounting Principles: Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, tax return preparation, and audit support.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA certification or progress towards CPA is a plus.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceuticals industry is an advantage.
