Job Title: Cloud Engineer - Container Orchestration

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer with expertise in container orchestration to join our team. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud-based systems using OpenShift and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implementation: Design and implement highly available and scalable OpenShift clusters on-premises and in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Automation and Configuration: Automate provisioning and scaling of OpenShift infrastructure and applications using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • CI/CD Pipelines and Container Registries: Manage CI/CD pipelines and container registries to support DevOps workflows, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery.
  • Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor performance, availability, and security of container workloads and underlying systems, troubleshooting issues related to OpenShift components (pods, services, nodes, networking, ingress/egress).
  • Logging and Alerting: Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk to ensure timely issue detection and resolution.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with 3–6 years of experience in Linux/Cloud/DevOps engineering, with 2+ years in OpenShift or Kubernetes platform management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in OpenShift 4.x, including Operators, Helm, Templates, and Routes, solid understanding of containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes), experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Tekton, or ArgoCD, familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, or other IaC tools, hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Scripting and Networking: Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages, knowledge of networking, firewalls, load balancing, and DNS in cloud environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications and Hybrid Cloud Experience: Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (EX280) or equivalent certification, experience with hybrid cloud OpenShift deployments (on-prem + public cloud).
  • Security and Service Mesh: Understanding of DevSecOps, image scanning tools (e.g., Trivy, Aqua, Prisma Cloud), experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) and API gateways (Kong, Ambassador).
  • GitOps and Collaboration: Familiarity with GitOps practices and tools, ability to collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams to define container best practices.
