Executive Fundraising Director

We seek a seasoned executive to spearhead our fundraising efforts and develop strategic partnerships.

Job Description:
  • Strategic Fundraising Leadership
    • Design and execute a multi-year fundraising strategy aligned with business objectives.
    • Drive annual fundraising targets, establish operational performance metrics, and ensure timely reporting on progress and outcomes.
    • Maintain strong donor relationships throughout the lifecycle from prospecting and proposal development to grant management and stewardship.
    • Promote organisational excellence across all fundraising functions by implementing systems for agility, compliance, and long-term funder trust.
  • Partnership Development Network Building
    • Cultivate and manage a robust pipeline of corporate sponsors, philanthropists, and ecosystem partners.
    • Expand external networks through targeted outreach, stakeholder engagement, and collaborative platforms.
    • Represent the organization at key industry events, conferences, and sector forums to enhance reputation and influence.
  • Communications and Brand Oversight
    • Oversee the creation and dissemination of high-quality donor-facing communications, including pitches, reports, and campaigns.
    • Ensure consistent messaging across all fundraising materials aligning with the organisation's brand, values, and impact vision.
    • Apply storytelling techniques, data-driven insights, and design principles to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership and Operations
    • Establish a high-performing fundraising team through talent acquisition, training, and mentorship.
    • Implement efficient systems for donor relationship management, grant administration, and audit preparedness.
    • Collaborate closely with internal teams to drive grant proposals, donor reports, and tailored development communications.
  • Relationship Management and Growth
    • Develop and execute strategies to deepen donor engagement, increase repeat investment, and expand funding sources.
    • Design differentiated engagement pathways for new, existing, and returning donors to foster meaningful connections and commitment.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration and Performance
    • Collaborate extensively with programmes, finance, and impact teams to ensure fundraising initiatives align with evolving programmatic needs.
    • Coordinate with M&E and Data teams to establish measurable outcomes and deliver on performance-linked funding commitments.
