Reliability Engineer

The Reliability Engineer is a critical position responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of equipment and systems. In this role, you will be part of a team that develops and implements strategic asset management plans to integrate clients' existing systems, including building automation, energy management, maintenance programs, and life-cycle asset management approaches. This includes analyzing data from connected systems to continually improve maintenance program strategy and meet outcomes-based performance measures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops analysis methods to determine the reliability of components, equipment, and processes in accordance with the company's enhanced reliability and asset management program.
  • Conducts ongoing maintenance maturity assessments to ensure progress towards planned goals.
  • Oversees root cause failure analysis (RCFA) of equipment failures to determine required corrective actions.
  • Works under general direction to deploy client's strategic asset management plan with matrix reporting back to the client's lead engineer.
  • Integrates data from BAS, automated fault detection diagnostic engines, maintenance programs, and capital planning processes to develop life-cycle analyses and recommendations for repair vs. replacement decisions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, mechanical or electrical preferred.
  • Five to 10 years' experience implementing RCM, CbM/PdM methods, operating building automation and energy management systems, and thorough understanding of asset management, data analytics, and capital planning approaches.
  • Experience with building automation systems and automated fault detection & diagnostics with integration of connected systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial, critical, manufacturing, labs, or distribution facility types required.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to manipulate large amounts of data accurately using different spreadsheet formats.
Certifications:
  • Certified Reliability Leader is preferred.
  • Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional is preferred.
  • Level 2 thermography certification is preferred.
  • Level 2 vibration certification is preferred.
  • Level 2 ultrasound certification is preferred.
