Production Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our production team in a leading steel industry. The ideal candidate will have 8-14 years of experience in the steel industry, with expertise in machine knowledge, latest technology, and steel product & process knowledge.

  1. Production Planning:
  • Develop and execute production plans, prioritizing daily/weekly production goals.
  • Monitor minimum order levels for production consumables.
  • Deploy line-wise manpower effectively.
  • Implement initiatives to maximize Original Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Safety and Quality Management:
  • Conduct safety training for employees.
  • Identify and mitigate safety hazards.
  • Implement foolproofing measures on machines.
  • Ensure availability and usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs).
Customer Satisfaction and Retention:
  • Implement Corrective Action Procedures (CAPA) for internal or customer complaints.
  • Review process control documents.
  • Communicate customer-specific requirements to teams.
  • Prepare quality management system (QMS) documents.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
  • Implement and monitor shop floor management practices.
  • Define standards and implement checklists for scientific shop floor management.
Talent Development and Training:
  • Organize induction training for new employees.
  • Assist in updating skill matrices and organizing continuing professional development programs.
Cost Control and Optimization:
  • Assist in identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Monitor and control consumption of production consumables.
  • Control damage and wastage of machines and production-related items.
Requirements
  • 8-14 years of experience in the steel industry.
  • Expertise in machine knowledge, latest technology, and steel product & process knowledge.
