Senior Software Engineer

This is a high-level engineering position at an innovative tech firm.

  • We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead the development of Java-based microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud Gateway.
Main Responsibilities:
  1. Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud Gateway
  2. Build real-time features using WebSocket for low-latency communication
  3. Implement background jobs with Apply microservice patterns: Circuit Breaker, Saga, API Gateway, CQRS
  4. Integrate asynchronous communication via Kafka or REST APIs
  5. Define clean service boundaries and maintain API contracts
  6. Owning features end-to-end: design, development, deployment, and support
  7. Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and system observability
  8. Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Requirements:
  1. Java 11+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Gateway
  2. Microservice design patterns: Circuit Breaker, CQRS, Saga, API Gateway
  3. WebSocket (Spring WebSocket or Netty)
  4. Kafka or similar message queues
  5. ScheduledExecutorService for background tasks
  6. PostgreSQL or MS SQL; MongoDB/Redis (plus)
  7. Docker & Kubernetes
  8. OAuth2, JWT, and security principles
  9. CI/CD tools and monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack
  10. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience mentoring or leading engineers
  2. Knowledge of Service Mesh (Istio, Linkerd)
  3. Exposure to Domain-Driven Design (DDD) or Clean Architecture
