About the Role:

The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain a highly efficient operation by continually analyzing quality and cost of food production.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain efficiency in food production, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to set standards.
  • Provide ongoing training and ensure that all guidelines are followed.
  • Ensure safe and quality food products, prioritizing guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement systems, procedures, and rules to drive operational excellence.
  • Work within a technical area of expertise to enhance service and product quality.
  • Exhibit a helpful and accommodating demeanor.
  • Achieve set goals through effective task management and coordination.
  • Conduct daily food tastings to ensure quality and presentation.
  • Address discrepancies immediately and take corrective action.
  • Assist with electronic food requisitions and monitor production levels.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient dinner service, presentation, and final plating.
  • Monitor and adhere to Public Health regulations at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced culinary skills, leadership experience, and a strong track record in top-tier hotels and restaurants.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the profession, including 2 years in a senior role in a luxury hospitality establishment or upscale cruise line.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, effective communication with senior management.
  • Possess ability to lead, make decisions, and work under pressure.
  • Good administrative skills, experienced in coaching subordinates.
  • Must be cost and quality conscious, flexible with work hours when necessary.
  • Work effectively with international team members.

  • Cruise Ship Experience, 5-star Hotel
  • Fluency in additional language(s).
