Job Description:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to lead our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring timely output, and upholding quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
  • The Operations Manager will supervise job placement, material flow, and stage-wise movement during fabrication and assembly. This includes designing and executing layout plans for new lines/projects, including fixtures, gauges, and equipment installations.
  • Maintaining and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), daily production reports, machine logs, and breakdown records is also an essential responsibility of the role.
  • The Operations Manager will manage in-process inventory and maintain efficient flow across the production chain.
  • Collaboration with R&D and design teams is crucial for smooth onboarding of new products and structure types.
  • Monitoring production costs and resource utilization to meet predefined budget and timeline goals is a key aspect of the role.
  • The Operations Manager will enforce strict compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards.
  • Driving lean manufacturing practices, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts will be a significant contribution to the organization's success.
  • Ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks and industry certifications specific to solar structure manufacturing is a critical responsibility.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in solar structure manufacturing or a related metal fabrication industry.
  • Proficient in managing production machinery, tooling, and quality control processes.
  • Solid understanding of solar mounting structures and associated fabrication methods.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, MS Excel, and production planning tools.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage shop floor teams and workflows.
