Job Overview:

\

  As a skilled culinary professional, you will oversee and coordinate the activities of a particular workstation engaged in preparing and cooking food products for various outlets according to instructions from your direct supervisor.

\

  This entry-level position is designed to develop your skills and knowledge, ultimately leading to more senior roles within the culinary team.

\

Key Responsibilities:

\

  1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of your assigned workstation, ensuring that all duties are performed efficiently and effectively.

\

  2. Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring that everyone understands their role and expectations.

\

  3. Develop and implement effective work schedules, controlling overtime and adhering to company policies.

\

  4. Prepare and present food items according to corporate recipe standards, ensuring that they meet the highest quality and presentation standards.

\

  5. Provide on-the-job training to junior team members, enhancing their performance and preparing them for potential promotions.

\

  6. Conduct daily inventory and requisitioning, ensuring that all necessary ingredients and supplies are available.

\

  7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

\

Required Skills and Qualifications:

\

   4-6 years of experience in upscale hotels, resorts, cruise ships, or convention banqueting services.

\

   Previous experience as Chef De Partie/Demi Chef De Partie is highly advantageous.

\

   Culinary school degree is required.

\

   Strong management skills in multicultural environments.

\

   Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.

\

   Superior customer service, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills.

\

   Knowledge of personalized service principles, including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and guest satisfaction evaluation techniques.

\

   Strong planning, coaching, organizing, staffing, controlling, and evaluating skills.

\

   Intermediate computer software skills are required.

\

   Good understanding of basic accounting principles.

\
