About the Role:

We are seeking an accomplished business development executive with expertise in the petrochemicals and oil & gas sector. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our business development function, focusing on oil rigs and exploration assets.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Lead the business development function for the petrochemicals vertical, with a focus on oil rigs and exploration assets.">
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue strategic acquisition opportunities, particularly underperforming oil rigs in India and internationally.">
  • Drive M&A strategy end-to-end – target identification, due diligence, financial evaluation, negotiations, and integration.">
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential acquisition targets in coastal regions globally.">
  • Leverage existing network and build strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the global petrochemical and oil exploration sector.">
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams – legal, finance, technical – to execute deals smoothly.">
  • Monitor and assess market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify new growth avenues.">
  • Represent the company at international forums, trade shows, and industry conferences.">
  • Work closely with the leadership team to align expansion strategies with overall business goals.">

Skills Required:

  • 15+ years of experience in business development, M&A, or strategy in the petrochemicals/oil & gas sector.">
  • Proven track record of deal-making, especially with international assets or companies.">
  • Deep understanding of upstream oil & gas operations, especially rig operations.">
  • Strong global network in the petrochemical space, especially in coastal countries with active oil rigs.">
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.">
  • MBA or relevant technical qualification preferred.">
