About this Role : We are seeking a bright, motivated and entrepreneurial candidate to join our Procurement team as an Associate Manager/ Manager – Procurement. This is a full-time role that will be based at our Corporate Office.

Responsibilities :

  • Receiving Bill of Material from the Design Department and seeking quotations from all vendors.
  • Making a cash flow plan to support the project, including constant updates on costs incurred.
  • Preparing comparative quotations and presenting them to management for decision.
  • Releasing purchase/work orders to vendors with appropriate payment terms and delivery conditions.
  • Following up with the accounts team for release of advances and running payments to vendors as per terms.
  • Ensuring timely material delivery by regular follow-ups with vendors.
  • Following up with vendors for material inspection upon readiness.
  • Following up with vendors and transporters for delivery of material on time and in good condition.
  • Following up with vendors for invoices.
  • Entering invoices into the system.
  • Providing weekly financial project progress to management.
  • Maintaining a database of vendors.
  • Managing work-related risks.
  • Supporting the Tender/BD team in costing of upcoming projects/Tenders.
  • Working out various project requirements regarding utilities, procurement activities, and overall operations for ensuring timely completion.
  • Monitoring, implementing, and documenting procurement systems, managing commercial activities related to contracts, equipment, and other activities.
  • Liaising with site project management to minimize communication gaps between the procurement department and end-users for timely delivery of materials.
  • Dealing with vendors, architects, and contractors, and monitoring expenses with optimal resource utilization.
  • Providing management reports and key performance data, and managing relationships with existing and new suppliers.
  • Updating worksheets daily regarding payments against orders placed and inventory management.

Qualifications :

  • A Graduate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 7-10 years of experience in Procurement.
  • Familiarity with products, functions, application parts, and manufacturers.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and raw materials.
  • Good negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, SAP, and Analytics software.
