About this role

This position involves building and maintaining robust backend systems, solving complex technical challenges, and optimizing performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in clean coding practices, peer reviews, and agile development.

Key responsibilities include implementing assigned features and changes through performant and maintainable code, understanding the design and architecture of the component/service, performing effective code reviews for peers, and contributing to RCA discussions and support RCA documentation.

Must haves include proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Java, Go, or Kotlin, solid understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and data structures, experience in implementing algorithms to solve real-world problems, and proven track record in building and maintaining backend systems.

  • Solid understanding of software development principles including unit testing, peer code reviews, and agile methodologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize backend systems for better performance.

Preferred skills include familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems, knowledge of security best practices for backend services and API endpoints, and ability to quickly adapt to new and complex development environments.
