Backend Software Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled backend software engineer to take full ownership of designing and managing the backend architecture for scalable web/mobile applications. This role involves developing complex systems that enable seamless communication and data exchange between different components.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Node.js, Firebase, and MongoDB, with a strong understanding of token-based authentication and security practices. Experience in building scalable, real-time chat or messaging systems is also highly desirable.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and Manage Backend Architecture
  • Develop User Authentication and Authorization Systems
  • Implement Complex Algorithms and Filters
  • Build Real-Time Messaging Systems
  • Integrate Push Notification Services
  • Optimize Database Schema for High-Performance Matchmaking and Chat Use Cases
  • Ensure Secure Tokenized API Access
  • Handle Media Uploads Securely via Cloud Storage
  • Implement Analytics Hooks for Key User Actions and Behavior Tracking
  • Build Admin APIs for User Moderation and Reporting
  • Monitor and Maintain API Performance and Database Health
  • Collaborate with DevOps to Set Up CI/CD and Auto-Scaling Backend Infrastructure
  • Manage Environment Configurations Securely with Secrets Handling
  • Build Fallback Systems to Handle Network Failure and Retries
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ Years' Experience in Backend Development with Node.js, Firebase, and MongoDB
  • Strong Understanding of Token-Based Authentication and Security Practices
  • Experience Building Scalable, Real-Time Chat or Messaging Systems
  • Familiarity with Cloud Storage and Services
  • Solid Knowledge of CI/CD, Monitoring, and Application Scaling
  • Clear Communication Skills for Technical Documentation and Cross-Functional Collaboration
