FileMaker Pro Migration Specialist

This is a short-term contract position as a FileMaker Pro Developer, requiring approximately 20-30 hours of work. The role involves supporting a critical migration project, ideal for someone with experience who can work independently and deliver quickly.

Mission Statement:

  • Migrate data, scripts, and layouts from existing FileMaker Pro solutions to the target platform, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality results.
  • Review current FileMaker databases to identify dependencies, integration points, and migration challenges, utilizing expert knowledge to overcome obstacles.
  • Handle blank tables that need to be re-mapped to ensure a successful migration, exercising meticulous attention to detail.
  • Re-map all SQL fields in FileMaker Pro, applying deep understanding of database architecture and functionality.
  • Update national vending machine numbering for Providence Health and SSM Health, adapting to specific requirements and needs.
  • Perform configuration, troubleshooting, and validation to ensure accuracy, quality, and reliability.
  • Document migration steps, configuration changes, and best practices, providing valuable insights and expertise.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to address requirements, provide updates, and resolve issues, fostering effective communication and teamwork.

Key Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience as a FileMaker Pro Developer (database design, scripting, reporting), with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong understanding of FileMaker architecture, relational models, and integrations, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively.
  • Ability to work within short timelines and with minimal supervision, demonstrating self-motivation and discipline.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
  • Availability to work during CST business hours, with flexibility to accommodate changing project needs.
